What is a Princess Diamond?

Marilyn Monroe said: diamonds are a girl's best friend. And as current trends confirm, the second most well-liked amongst the friends are princess cut diamonds (runner-up to the round brilliant). The Princess Cut is basically a square or rectangle shape diamond with a profile that is similar to an inverted pyramid. Otherwise known as a square modified brilliant, a princess cut diamond is distinguished from her more popular sister, the round brilliant, by a heavier weight. This is because the four corners of the princess are never cut away like they are to create other rounded diamonds. When it comes to color, princess cut diamonds are most adored as they retain their color somewhat more when compared to other brilliant cuts. These diamonds are also highly regarded for their clarity. Princess diamonds are well-known for their ability to hide blemishes (natural markings within the diamond), and so are shown to possess a higher grade of clarity. One more advantage when it comes to
